Sooo I love, just love things/stuff/items/programs/software, well, anything really, that makes my life easier! A few months ago I was on the hunt for a reusable sandwich/snack bag and after an exhaustive google search I finally found what I was looking for! Meet: The SnackTaxi! I found these cute little suckers at Hip Mountain Mama (not only does she make SnackTaxis but tons of other home, kid and baby products). There are two different sizes of Snack Taxi’s and I chose the smaller size (depicted in the images below). They work terrifically! I am so pleased with them :) The SnackTaxi’s are 100% cotton with a nylon inside that has a polyurethane coating–they can actually be machine washed and dried but is recommended to hand wash so they’ll last longer. I took a few frames yesterday after Mike and I put together his lunch for the day…they’re just so cool!
Several different colors are offered and these are the initial four that I picked out (yes, the pink is for me!). Mike and I pack lunches A LOT. Although we probably don’t pack as many as the creator of SnackTaxi (she packs over 500 a year for her three children!!! God Bless all the mommies!) but Mike usually takes his lunch to work, we go on picnics, take random Friday/Sunday road trips, I eat lunch at the beach, etc, etc so it’s finally nice to have an option that a) costs less b) keeps me from going to the grocery store (eek!) or to the mothership (Target!) and c) is healthy for the environment and keeps that icky plastic taste off sandwiches!

These pomegranates fit just fine inside the SnackTaxi and pomegranates are pretty beastly! We love pomegranates and for the few weeks that they are locally in season they are consumed daily in this household!

One of Mike’s monster PB&J’s making it’s debut introduction with the ever-so-fabulous SnackTaxi…

One day, not too long ago, Mike had been outside watering plants, etc and I decided to fix myself “the usual,” (which consists of a scrambled egg, heirloom tomato, farmers market goat cheese on homemade baked wheat toast with just a tad of ground pepper) when Mike came in and saw what I was fixing–he felt cheated and wanted to know what this delicious sandwich was. I made him one too and now I can’t get the guy to quit asking for them…so we tossed one into a SnackTaxi :)

Well now that I’ve made myself sufficiently hungry, I’m off to find something to eat! Have a wonderful weekend everyone :)
