Sometimes little boys don’t get their fair share of fun decorating ideas for rooms like little girls do. Not that little boys care, right? But, sometimes it’s fun to be able to decorate a little boys room and yes, I totally cheated on Elle Decor this month and wanted to share this magazine scan from my Pottery Barn Kids catalog this month…

I just love all the photojournalistic framed images adorning the wall-great memories and decor :)
Sometimes my husband gets a huge kick out of my motto, “go big or go home!” I say, “why not?!”
Lately I’ve been using my theme of go big in photography. When I meet with clients and we discuss which images should adorn their walls, most will gravitate towards an 8×10 or 11×14 sizes. After I show them a few sample frames and canvases that are usually middle of the road (16×20, 20×24), their faces light up in recognition as they realize that 8×10 canvas will be swallowed whole by the wall.
Don’t be afraid to “go big” with your prints and canvases…or to create a huge canvas grid (9 to 12 to 16 images) out of smaller sizes such as 10×10 or 8×10.
I love this image below from Elle Decor…this designer wasn’t afraid to go big with frames and it actually tames down the bright red wall color but still gives the room flare :)

Happy Monday!
I photographed these adorable twins recently…

:)
I arrived from Haiti late Saturday night and have been furiously editing all my images to send to my group members. I am only blogging the images on my wedding blog, mainly, to save time, so be sure to check www.whitneyelizabethblog.com for my recount of each day in Haiti. It was the most incredible experience of my life and I am certain that I will be going back in the future…Haiti is an amazing country with the most soulful, spiritual and resilient people I have ever met.
If you want to help in some small way, please email me if you would like to donate a tent (VERY MUCH needed as millions of people are displaced) or if you have any old eye glasses (reading or distance) you can mail them to me and I will make sure they arrive at our Haitian clinic!!
Thank you all for your support!!!
