what does my session fee pay for?

your session fee pays for whitney’s time and talent during the session, all post production work, your custom in-home presentation within two weeks of your shoot and whitney’s client assistance program.

what is the session like?

you should expect tons of giggles, laughter and fun.  your session will be both indoors and outdoors at your home or in another specified location.  expect whitney to arrive just a bit early so she can meet the kids, chat with you for a bit and even help you pick out clothes for the session.  if you would like a few family photos, we will take care of those right away so dad can get back to work or watching the big game. think of our session as a play date, as whitney aims to get to know your child(ren) as he/she/they are (tantrums and all)!whitney loves to capture your family doing the things you love, so it’s not unusual for whitney to follow you on an ice cream run or come to the park to witness the everyday activities that make you and your family special.  the possibilities are endless!

who should come to the session?

it is usually easiest for just the persons and pets being photographed to be at the shoot.  uncomfortable smiles begin to appear when extra people are around to watch.

when is the best time to schedule newborn sessions?

please call whitney while you are still expecting.  the best time to capture your new baby in the fleeting new born stage is when your little one is 5-7 days old.  whitney usually keeps a few days open in her calendar for new arrivals.  your session will be laid back and we will take our time and work around the feeding and napping schedule.  if you have not booked yet and have already delivered, never fear!  give whitney a call and we will do what we can to add you in!

do you offer maternity sessions?

certainly!  call whitney around 7 months to ensure enough time.

how far out should i book our session?

whitney is typically booked 3-4 weeks out.

do we really have to do the session in our home?

in home sessions are the best way for whitney to capture your children and family as they are, in a  comfortable and happy atmosphere. if you have another location in mind, feel free to suggest it to whitney.

what should i/we/the kids wear?

gone are the days of matching shirts and pants and posed shots at the beach.  whitney’s talent is documenting your children and family as they in everyday life and we usually don’t go about our normal days matching, do we?  :)

when will my images be ready?

your images will be available for viewing approximately two weeks after your session.  whitney elizabeth photography owns the copyright to all images. images may not be copied, scanned or reproduced in any way without written permission from whitney elizabeth photography, inc.
